Promo links are ways for you as a site to promote things that are important to you in the main recommendation module. Think of it as in-house advertising.
For instance, if you want to prompt people to sign-up for your email list or you have an upcoming event, you can create a promo link.
This link will show up in the section you designate on every post across the site. It will be there until you turn it off.
You can create a promo link by going to Contextly's control panel. Click the Promo links tab and add a new promo link.
These links are only for internal business purposes. They are not intended to be ad units, or to be used for "sponsored" content.
Those use cases are permitted for Professional and Enterprise clients, but please contact us about the rules for doing this.
